Tractor Trailer Fire Rt 33 South MM 17.6 Saylorsburg

ROSS TOWNSHIP: 11:09 am There is a Tractor Trailer Fire on Rt 33 South MM 17.6 Saylorsburg just before the WindGap exit. As per 43-97 who is on scene reports the trailer rear axles are on fire and it is starting to get spread into the trailer box. There are no placards and it is a mixed load according to the manifest.

UPDATE: 23-7 has requested Wind Gap Fire or Plainfield Fire to respond he needs additional manpower. 11:23 am

UPDATE: 11:33 am 23-7 advised MCCC that Rt 33 South at the first Wind Gap exit is Closed, they are diverting everyone off Rt 33 onto Rt 512, he asked MCCC to notify Wind Gap.

UPDATE: 11:43 am 23-7 requested that the repeater link be connected for better communications and to also inform any Northampton units that Rt 33 South is closed at the Upper Wind Gap Exit so the can come North in the Southbound lanes to get to him.

UPDATE: 12:30 pm 43-97 has been released by PSP, all other units are still on scene and rt 33 Remains Closed.

UPDATE: 12:37 pm 23-7 advised MCCC that they will be on scene for a couple of hours, requested that PennDOT respond to block off where they are so that they can open one lane of Rt 33 South as Rt 115 into Wind Gap is at a stand still.
