2 Found Dead in Kunkletown Rd Ross Township Crash

According to Monroe County Coroner Bob Allen, 2 people a man and a woman were pronounced dead the scene of the accident.

The 47 year old male driver was ejected from the Chevy Silverado pick up truck that had gone off the road, down an embankment and into the water on it's roof where the 39 year old female passenger was trapped inside on Kunkletown Rd in Ross Township.

The accident may have happened on Friday, but wasn't discovered until Saturday afternoon. State Police requested Fire and EMS to the scene at 4:48 pm Saturday and upon arrival fire command requested that the Coroner be notified.

Their identities are not being released pending next of kin notifications, autopsies will be performed will be preformed next week.

Kunkletown Rd was closed for several hours for investigation, but has since re-opened.
