The Water Street Bridge is a two span, steel I-beam structure that was built in 1938. It is 117 feet long, and 55 feet wide. The new bridge will be a 112 feet long and 36 feet 8 inches wide, two span pre-stressed concrete bulb-tee beam structure. This section of Water Street has an average daily traffic volume of 7,957 vehicles.
Kriger Construction, Inc. of Scranton, Pa.is the general contractor on the $3,783,740 project.
