On 09/20/19 at approx 2200hrs a Retail theft occurred at the Kinsley Shoprite. Various items were stolen at a total value of $39.06 by an 18 y/o Female from Saylorsburg.

State Rd & Rt 115
Effort, Chestnuthill Township
On 09/21/19 at 003hrs Susan Engels, 58 of Effort driving a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe was stopped at State Rd & Rt 115, she was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Engels was transported to the Monroe County DUI Processing Center where she submitted to a chemical test of blood. Charges will be filed following the toxicology results.

Effort, Chestnuthill Township
Dawanta Turner, 22, Male of Stroudsburg was stopped for several traffic violations at Rt 115 & State Rd. Turner was found to be in possession of approximately 3 grams of Heroin. Turner was charged with possession with intent to deliver and related charges. He was housed at the Monroe County Correctional Facility to await a preliminary hearing. Turner's vehicle a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu was impounded.

1000 Block of Juno Dr.
Effort, Chestnuthill Township
On 09/25/19 PSP responded to the 1000 Block of Juno Dr. Effort for a house egging. Upon arrival, PSP was met by the Victim who related that his daughter had thrown eggs at his residence. His 15 y/o daughter who lives in Kunkletown was arrested and appropriate charges have been filed against her.

On 09/25/19 at approx 1140hrs PSP Fern Ridge was contacted by the victim to report two stolen red gas cans and a stolen fuel transfer pump. The 68 y/o victim-related they realized the items were missing on 09/25/19. The victim stated the last time they saw the items was late July 2019. A neighborhood canvass was conducted with negative results.

Merwinsburg Rd & Rt 115

The crash occurred when the operator of a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox was stopped at the stop sign at Merwinsburg Rd & Rt 115 when the female operator of a 2015 LIA Sprotage thought that the Equinox cleared the stop sign. Both vehicles came to a controlled rest of to the right side of the road. The Lia Sportage sustained minor front end damage and the Equinox sustained minor rear-end damage. There were no injuries.

The crash occurred as Juan Rosario 26 of Saylorsburg was traveling North on Rt 715 in his 2006 Pontiac G6 and swerved to miss a deer while negotiating a left curve and struck a utility pole at its initial impact and came to rest just north of Lake Mineola Rd. Mr. Rosario was issued a Traffic Violation for Registration & Certificate of Title Required and the vehicle was towed by Karl's Towing. Mt Rosario denied injury and refused EMS.

The crash occurred as Daniel Alistai Haughton 21, of Effort driving a 2006 Toyota Highlander and Brett Hardenstine 28 of Canadensis driving a 2001 GMC Sierra was traveling Westbound on Rt 715. Mr. Haughton failed to maintain proper speed and failing to stop on time at Mr. Hardenstine was turning into a driveway. Both vehicle came to rest at the initial point of impact. Mr. Haughton was transported to LVH-Pocono by St. Luke's EMS with minor injuries, he was also issued a Traffic Citation for Careless Driving.
