Tobyhanna Woman, 32, Arrested in East Stroudsburg Hotel for Prostitution
On August 31, 2020 detectives from the Monroe County Office of the District Attorney conducted an undercover prostitution sting at an East Stroudsburg Hotel.
The sting occurred after detectives located an advertisement for prostitution online. Detectives began communicating with the woman behind the advertisement and arranged to meet her at the hotel.
The woman, Shaquela Fleming, 32, of Tobyhanna, PA, was the woman in the hotel room. She was arrested for prostitution, a misdemeanor.
The woman was provided an opportunity to partake in a program with Truth for Women, a non-profit organization in Bethlehem that detectives work closely with to help women get out of the life of prostitution.
This arrest is a part of the Monroe County District Attorney's Office's ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking.
A preliminary hearing for Ms. Fleming is scheduled before Magisterial District Judge Michael R. Muth on October 13th, 2020 at 11:00 am.
