FATAL Accident Rt 80 at 299 Tannersville in the Median with Ejection

4:28 pm: There is a reported accident on Rt 80 at 299 Tannersville in the median with possible ejection. Multiple injures.

3 MedEvac Helicopters have been put on Standby, Heavy Entrapment being reported.

Fire requesting all 3 MedEvac's to fly.

Monroe County Coroner is being called out to the scene.

Fire is requesting State Police to the scene as the News Media is giving Fire a Hard Time.

Pocono Township Fire, Jackson Township Fire, St. Luke's EMS, Suburban EMS, Pocono Mountain Regional and State Police on scene.

From what we have been told and this is unconfirmed is that a Step-Van crossed from the East Bound Lanes over the median the West Bound Lanes hitting a Mercedes head on.

The Monroe County Coroner has confirmed two died at the scene and three were flown to area hospitals.
