Albrightsville man charged with selling heroin in Barrett Twp.

A man was charged Tuesday after allegedly selling heroin to undercover Monroe County District Attorney's Office detectives.

John Robert Balascsak, 57, of Albrightsville, was ordered placed in Monroe County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 bail and is awaiting a district court hearing.

Detectives learned June 2 that Balascsak was allgedly trying to sell a bundle of heroin and arranged to meet him in the Family Dollar parking lot on Route 390 in Barrett Township.

When detectives arrived at that location, Balascsak approached and showed them a bundle of heroin he was charging $70 for, an affidavit states. Detectives handed him the money and he handed them the heroin, according to the affidavit.
