Allentown Man Wanted for Drug and Other Charges Arrested in Stroudsburg after Hours Long Standoff

On Friday, October 2, 2020, the Stroud Area Regional Police Department received information that an individual wanted on a felony warrant out of Palmer Township Police Department was believed to be in our jurisdiction. The wanted subject was identified as Emir Christopher Justiniani, a 19-year-old Hispanic male from Allentown, who was wanted for Felony charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver and seven (7) additional charges. He was reported to be armed with a handgun and AK47 rifle.

At approximately 9:26 a.m., Justiniani was located in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn Express located at West Main Street in Stroud Township; he was in the passenger seat of a vehicle with a female in the drivers seat. As police approached the vehicle, the female complied and exited the vehicle. Justiniani refused to exit the vehicle, was not cooperative, and was in possession of a handgun. Justiniani never pointed the handgun at officers and was threatening self-harm. Officers surrounded the scene and removed bystanders from the immediate area for their safety. Stroud Area Regional Police SWAT and crisis negotiators were activated and responded to the scene. Officers on scene were eventually able to talk Justiniani into putting the gun down and exiting the vehicle. At approximately 1:30 p.m. Justiniani was taken into custody without incident.

No one was injured in this incident.
