Brodheadsville man charged after striking woman

A 40-year-old Brodheadsville man was arrested and charged for simple assault and harassment after a verbal disagreement turned physical, according to state police.

Police say a 26-year-old Brodheadsville woman was struck in the back of the head and in the left eye by the man during the altercation around 4 p.m. on May 27 on the 1700 block of Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township. There was a black and blue bruise around the woman’s eye, police say.

The names are being withheld because of being a domestic violence related incident, police say. The man was arraigned in front of District Judge Colleen Mancuso, police say.
