Brodheadsville man faces multiple charges after fleeing from traffic stop
A Brodheadsville man faces several charges after police say he was stopped for speeding in Pocono Township on April 22 and fled on foot before being caught.
State police at Swiftwater say Carl Alan Hagerty, 39, was stopped for speeding on Jojo Road in Pocono Township. After stopping his car, police say Hagerty took off on foot.
A foot chase ensued through several neighborhoods before Hagerty was caught.
Police say when Hagerty was caught he showed signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Police say he has been charged with driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a DUI suspended license, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving an uninsured vehicle, fraudulent use of a registration plate and speeding.
