Cash reward offered in attempted theft at Tractor Supply
Monroe County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to the arrest of the man who tried to steal a log splitter from the Tractor Supply in Chestnuthill Township on March 16 at about 4:15 a.m.
State police at Fern Ridge are asking the public's help in solving the crime.
According to police, the male suspect was wearing a tan bulky coat and a motorcycle helmet when he entered the Tractor Supply parking lot on a red ATV.
The male parked the ATV at the front outside display area of the store. The suspect then attempted to steal a log splitter from the outside display area. He remained on scene from 4:10 a.m. to 4:23 a.m. The suspect was unsuccessful in taking the log splitter and left the scene in an unknown direction.
