We have tried to get more information about the West End Relay for Life happening this Saturday June 3rd 9:00 am at Pleasant Valley High School Field Brodheadsville, so far our requests have gone unanswered but we were able to get a hold of a tentative schedule for the event:
Tentative 2017 Relay for Life Schedule
10:00 AM- Opening Ceremony (local boy scouts) and PV Band
10:30 AM- Begin handing in money for Quarters for Kids Conquering Cancer
(10:30-2:00)
-Team Captains Meetings
– Shoe Tie Lap
11:00 AM- Luminary Opens
– Cartesian Dance (30 Minutes)
– Coloring Contest *voting will occur during the Survivor Dinner*
Home Depot Building station- 30 spots available
11:30 AM- Mountain Warriors Karate
Scavenger Hunt
12:00PM- McElligott School of Irish Dance (30 Minutes)
– Tissue Box Game
– Mission Statement Mix- Up
12:30PM- Fight Back Ceremony and lap
1:00PM- Mike Pilgermayer and Band (60 Minutes)
Red, White, and Blue Lap
Team Ring Toss
2:00PM- Quarters for Kids Conquering Cancer Announcement
– Karaoke
– Cancer Quiz
2:30PM- Face Painting by Larry
– Cupcake Contest
2:50PM Parade of Teams. Line up on the football field
3:00PM- Parade of Teams *Tent Site Judging immediately following*
4:00PM- Chris Eckert Performs
– Team Captains Meeting
Frozen T-Shirt Competition #1 (4:10)
Golf Ball and Spoon Lap (4:20)
4:30PM- Country Heat- Studio Z West (30 minutes)
– Pantene Beautiful Lengths
5:00PM- Quarters for Kids Conquering Cancer Competition Results
– *Veteran Team Recognition*
– Relay Trivia
– Limbo Lap (5:20)
5:45- “Plus Three” performs (45 minutes)
6:30PM- Survivor Dinner Begins
7:00PM- Luminary Closes/ Pick up Bags
Teams begin placing their own luminary bags around the track (7:00-7:30)
DO NOT LIGHT THE BAGS!!!
7:45PM- Celebration of Life begins
8:30PM- Teams begin lighting luminary bags
9:00PM- Luminary Ceremony begins
9:45PM- YOUTH TEAM REGISTRATION- your whole team goes to registration
10:00PM- Only registered youth participants with bracelets are permitted
to stay beyond this time.
-Turn In any money that you have. Registration will re-open at 7AM!
10:30PM- Eating Competition (Must be 12 years or older)
11:00PM- Miss Relay (Contestants must be 16 years or older)
11:30PM- Miss Relay Continued
12:00AM- Jenny Kuntz Plays
12:30AM- Frozen T-Shirt Competition #2
Begin Team Activities- teams’ sign up and run an activity (every 30 minutes). Spirit points earned. Please know that some of these activities will be done by the track.
1:00AM- Scavenger Hunt #2
2:00AM- Shoe Lace Lap
2:30AM- Board Games
3:00AM- Root Beer Pong- Answer for Cancer
3:30AM- Bingo- Shining Stars
4:00AM- Bingo continued
4:30 AM- Hula Hoop Competition
5:00AM- Tissue Box Game
5:30AM- Limbo Lap
6:00AM- Rooster Crow Contest
6:30AM- Don Wild Eagle and Family
7:00AM- Collect purple bows for spirit points
-Turn in any money that you want counted for closing ceremonies
8:00AM- Team Captains Meeting
-Turn in Spirit Points
9:00AM- Closing Ceremony/awards/final lap
9:30AM- Begin breaking down tent sites
10:00AM- Have a safe trip home. Start planning for Relay 2018!
