Fire Destroys Vacant Dwelling in Eldred Township

Fire ripped through a Eldred Township home at around 6:30 am this morning along Molasses Valley Road.

The wood frame double modular home was currently vacant and owned by First Niagara Bank.

Officials report that there were no injuries, but the dwelling was fully engulfed when fire crews arrived.

Flammable liquids may have been stored in the basement of the dwelling.

A fire ripped through a home in the Poconos leaving very little standing.
