Follow up to Yesterday’s Fatal Crash on Rt 115 in Brodheadsville
CHESTNUTHILL TOWNSHIP: State Police say that just after 4 pm a 17 year old female (name withheld due to her age) from Bethlehem was driving north on Rt 115 in her 2001 Ford Explorer when she crossed over into the southbound lane just passed Brookmont Dr. and hit Diamilatou Bah, 53, of Blakeslee in her 2005 Lexus RX330 head on.
Diamilatou Bah suffered major trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene by West End Ambulance, the 17 year old female was transported to Lehigh Valley- Pocono with serious injuries to her lower body by West End Ambulance.
West End Volunteer Fire Company was on scene and extricated the 17 year old female from her 2001 Ford Explorer and West End Volunteer Fire Company's Fire Police closed Rt 115 in both directions between Wier lake Rd and Effort Neola Rd.
The Monroe County Coroner's office was called and responded to the scene, the Monroe County Coroner Thomas Yanac pronounced Diamilatou Bah, an autopsy will be performed on Wednesday.
The Monroe County Coroner's office along with PSP conducted a full investigation before Rt 115 was reopened for traffic.
Rt 115 was re-opened around 8:30 pm.
