Fred Stevenson of Marshall’s Creek Arrested for Trafficking in Minors
Detectives from the Monroe County Office of the District Attorney, Criminal Investigations Division, have arrested and charged Fred Stevenson, 68 of Marshall's Creek with crimes relating to attempted sex with a minor, along with attempted trafficking in minors and promoting prostitution.
Earlier in February a woman came forward to the police with concerns regarding Mr. Stevenson. The woman reported that while working as a prostitute she frequently had sex with Stevenson. Further, she told investigators that Stevenson would ask her to procure a minor child to fulfill a fantasy of having sex with a mother/daughter duo.
The woman then, at the direction of police, introduced the man to her friend "Gabby" who was the "mother of a 14 year old girl". After multiple telephone conversations which included talk about sex and the exchange of money for the sex acts Stevenson requested to meet in person on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
An undercover sting operation was arranged to meet with Mr. Stevenson at a local eating establishment. A short conversation ensued and Stevenson was taken into custody without incident. Detectives from the District Attorney's Office participated in this investigation, led by Detective Kim Lippincott.
