A man was arrested for domestic violence and simple assault charges after throwing food in a woman’s face.

Stephanie Lynn Blew, 28, and Anthony Pellegrino, 36, both of Kresgeville, went to pick up a food order at Mike’s Pizza on March 26 around 4:40 p.m., according to state police of Fern Ridge, and Pellegrino threw the order of food in Blew’s face.

Blew threw the order back at Pellegrino, and then he started to punch her, police said. Blew suffered a swollen forehead, bruised eyes and a bloody mouth, police say.

Pellegrino was arraigned in front of District Judge Kristina Anzini and was released on $20,000 unsecured bail, according to court records. A preliminary hearing is set for April 10.
