Kresgeville man arrested in Dollar Tree burglary

A Kresgeville man has been charged with a burglary at Dollar Tree in June.

On June 27, police investigated an overnight burglary at the Dollar Tree in the Carbon Plaza Mall. The store safe was broken into with a grinder and pry tools. During forensic processing, police seized an ATM receipt, a seat cover with a footprint, and an earplug.
On Friday police obtained an arrest warrant for Walter Francis Trainor, 53, of Kresgeville.

Trainor was taken into custody at his residence with the assistance of Lehighton State Police.

He has been charged with the following offenses: Burglary (felony); Criminal trespass (felony); Theft by unlawful taking or disposition (misdemeanor); Receiving stolen property (misdemeanor); and Possessing instruments of crime (misdemeanor).
After the arrest with the assistance of Fern Ridge, and Lehighton State Police a search warrant was executed at Trainor's residence. As a result, police seized a grinder, and pry tools.
He was placed in Carbon County Prison on the charges.
