Monroe County District Attorneys Office is seeking the Public’s Help to Identify the Bomb Threat Suspects
Detectives from the Monroe County Office of the District Attorney are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the individual or individuals responsible for the recent spate of bomb threats towards the Monroe County courthouse and related locations. Audio recordings of the two most recent calls are available below.
At this time it is unknown if these incidents are related.
Anyone with information concerning the identity of these individual(s), or who believes that they may be able to identify the voice(s) of the caller(s), is asked to contact Detective Brian Webbe at (570) 517-3114 or by email at bwebbe@monroecountypa.gov.

May 7 incident
On May 7, 2018, at 9:04 A.M., a 911 call was received by the Lackawanna County 911 Center stating that there was a bomb at the Luzerne County Courthouse.
This call was placed from the area of Old Forge in Lackawanna County.
49 minutes later, at 9:53 A.M., a second 911 call was received by the Lackawanna County 911 Center stating that there was a bomb at a Monroe County court but did not identify which court.
This call was placed from the area of north Scranton in Lackawanna County.
June 11 incident
On June 11, 2018, at 10:56 A.M., a 911 call was received by the Lackawanna County 911 Center stating that there was a bomb at the Monroe County Courthouse.
This call was placed from the area of Dickson City in Lackawanna County.

July 9 incident
On July 9, 2018, at 8:37 A.M., a 911 call was received by the Monroe County Control Center stating that there were four (4) bombs at the Monroe County Courthouse as well as five (5) bombs at surrounding attorneys’ offices.
This call was placed from the area of Washington Street in East Stroudsburg, Monroe County.
