Northampton Man Wanted for Home Improvement Fraud Offenses in Kunkletown

A felony warrant for the arrest of MARK M. HARRISON, age 32 of Northampton, PA was obtained today by detectives from the Monroe County Office of the District Attorney.

After receiving a complaint from a Monroe County Area Agency on Aging Protective Services agent, detectives from the District Attorney's Office initiated an investigation regarding a home improvement contract between Mr. HARRISON and a Kunkletown senior citizen. The investigation determined that between September 9th, 2016 and October 7th, 2016 Mr. HARRISON collected $24,350.00 from that senior citizen after convincing her to sign an $18,700.00 contract for home repairs that was later determined to be valued at $2,450.00 by a local expert.

Mr. HARRISON used the name of a legitimate local home improvement company without permission and the actual work he completed was valued at less than $1,200.00. Mr. HARRISON was not licensed as a home improvement contractor as is required by law.

Mr. HARRISON has been charged with one count of Theft by Deception, one count of Theft by Unlawful Taking, and three counts of Home Improvement Fraud. Because the victim was over the age of 60 all offenses were upgraded to second degree felonies.

Mr. HARRISON could not be located at his prior addresses and has been listed as WANTED on the District Attorney's MOST WANTED web page.
