The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Tornado Watch for portions of Northern Delaware, Northern Maryland, New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, Northern Virginia, Eastern West Virginia Panhandle, Coastal Waters
* Effective this Friday morning and evening from 1135 AM until 700 PM EDT.
* Primary threats include...
A couple of tornadoes possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible
SUMMARY...Thunderstorms are increasing over western Pennsylvania. This activity will track rapidly eastward across the watch area today, posing a risk of damaging winds and a few tornadoes.
The tornado watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles north and south of a line from 15 miles west southwest of Altoona PA to 15 miles south of Newark NJ. For a complete depiction of the watch see the associated watch outline update (WOUS64 KWNS WOU1).
