One dead in crash on Old Route 115 in Ross Twp.

One person has died in a head-on crash on Old Route 115 at Anchorage Road in Ross Township this morning, according to Monroe County Coroner Robert Allen.

Route 115 is closed at Anchorage Road because of the crash.

According to Pocono Record reporter Howard Frank at the scene, a four-door pickup truck and a four-door compact sedan were involved in the crash.

ROSS TOWNSHIP — The coroner was called to the scene of a wreck that shut down a road in Monroe County.

It happened around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Route 115 and Anchorage Road near Saylorsburg.

Route 115 in this part of Monroe County is closed in both directions.

The coroner said one man is dead and another was taken to a hospital.

The name of the victim has not been released.
