Owner of the Meadowbrook Diner in Brodheadsville Died due to a Motorcycle Accident

CHESTNUTHILL TOWNSHIP: On Thursday, June 14th, 2018 at 2:32 pm the Monroe County Control Center Dispatched the West End Volunteer Fire Co., West End Ambulance and the State Police to a reported Motorcycle accident at Doney Rd and Weir Lake Rd for a Motorcycle Accident. Calls to 911 reported that a Motorcycle crashed and that CPR was in progress.

Although the accident called in and dispatched as Doney Rd and Weir Lake Rd it was a bit up the street more towards Blue Ridge as indicated in the graphic below with a red circle around it.

When crews arrived they could not revive the rider who Thomas Yanac the Monroe County Coroner later Identified after family notifications as Travis Beers of Kunkletown, age 42 and the owner of the Meadowbrook Diner on Rt 209 in Brodheadsville.

The accident is under investigation by the PA State Police.

As locals know Travis Beers was the son of Rick D. Beers (47) of Effort who passed away in 2002 after losing control of his 1994 Harley Davidson while going around a curve on Haney Road in Polk Township.
