Police now investigating inside Ross Twp. home, Possible break in Holly Grim case
ROSS TWP., Pa. - Details continue to emerge in the investigation at a home along Woodhaven Drive in Ross Township, Monroe County.
69 News has learned that Pennsylvania State Police have moved their investigation inside the home of Michael Horvath. They said there are "a lot of items in the house.”
69 News has also learned that Horvath was an employee at Allen Organ in Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County, and was a coworker of Holly Grim. She disappeared from her home in Lower Macungie Township in 2013. A colleague has confirmed that the two worked together in Allen Organ's wood shop.
When asked if this week’s investigation was connected to the disappearance of Grim, state police said only that it is still an active investigation. They did confirm that Horvath and Grim worked together and noted that it is a Lehigh County case.
Police said the investigators are from Lehigh County and that they sealed a search warrant issued by Monroe County.
State police, fire officials and the coroner having been excavating a wooded area behind the home for several days. According to the Pocono Record newspaper, investigators did recover a human bone. However when asked, police would not confirm this.
69 News spoke with Holly Grim's mother Friday morning. She said she hopes the investigation does not involve her daughter, because she is hopeful that Holly is still alive. She said state police contacted her earlier in the week, but did not confirm that their investigation involves Holly. Holly may have known Horvath because they worked together, but they were not friends, according to Holly's mother.
State police would not comment on whether Horvath is cooperating with police, but did say the homeowners are not currently staying at the house. State police said they attempted to question Horvath, but did not say if they were successful.
The investigation at the Horvath home is expected to wrap up by next Friday.
