PUBLIC NOTICE Pleasant Valley School Board Vacancy:

The Pleasant Valley School Board of Education is receiving applications to fill a board member vacancy caused by the resignation of Steve Borger. The person appointed as a board member will serve a term which will end on the date of the board reorganization meeting that will be held December of 2019.

The Pleasant Valley School District includes the townships of Chestnuthill, Eldred, Polk, and Ross.

The qualifications to serve as a school board member are as follows: registered elector and citizen of the school district; at least 18 years of age; good moral character; and a resident of the Pleasant Valley School District for at least one year.

Those persons interested in applying for this board member position shall submit a letter of interest, resume indicating qualifications, and letters of support and recommendation to Carole Geary, Superintendent of the Pleasant Valley School District at the district office located at 2233 Route 115, Suite 100, Brodheadsville, PA 18322.

Applications will only be accepted until July 13, 2017, at 4:00 p.m.
