Route 903 crash kills Effort woman

A woman was killed in a 12:57 p.m. Tuesday (9/20/16) two-vehicle crash at Route 903 and Old Stage Road in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County.
Nancy Campbell-Pierro, 78, of Effort, was turning left out of a parking lot onto Route 903 North, state police said. Campbell-Pierro entered the southbound lane and collided with an oncoming vehicle driven by Tracy Lynn forman, 48, of Jim Thorpe.
Campbell-Pierro suffered fatal injuries while her passenger, Thomas Crawford, 35, of Blakeslee, was flown to St. Luke's Hospital. Forman and her passengers, Krista and Kyla Forman, both 20 of Jim Thorpe, suffered minor injuries.
