State police have charged the second of three men who allegedly broke into a Ross Township home in February and held a mother and daughter at gunpoint while ransacking an upstairs bedroom.
Allen Edward Orlick, 29, of Kunkletown, was charged Wednesday and joins Anthony Diliberti Jr., 19, also of Kunkletown, who was charged May 14.
Both were ordered placed in Monroe County Correctional Facility, Orlick in lieu of $250,000 bail and Diliberti in lieu of $25,000 bail. Both will be scheduled to appear in district court in the future.
Police as of Wednesday had not yet charged the third suspect, identified as Albert Johnathan Guzman, 23, of Effort.
The mother and daughter were home watching TV when they heard a banging at the front door, an affidavit states. When the mother walked toward the front door, two masked men, displaying guns and wearing gloves, pushed their way through the door into the house.
The men had both women lay on the floor and bound the women's hands with duct tape. One man held the women there at gunpoint while the other went upstairs and rummaged through a bedroom.
After the other man came back downstairs, both men took the women's cellphones and then left the residence. The women got up from the floor, looked out and saw the men driving away in a vehicle, with a license plate that was hard to make out, occupied by a third male.
Shortly after 911 was called, state police arrived at the residence, interviewed the women and found a handgun in the upstairs bedroom. Police traced the gun to Diliberti and, when later executing a search warrant at his home, were told by his girlfriend that he had taken part in the incident.
When questioned, Diliberti identified Orlick and Guzman as the other two who had taken part and said it was over drugs, the affidavit states.
