Detectives from the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office, the Monroe County Drug Task Force, Pennsylvania State Police, and Pennsylvania State Parole participated in the arrest of Courtney Snyder, 36, of Snydersville, for possession with intent to deliver heroin and related charges.

Earlier in the week, Detective Kim Lippincott obtained an arrest warrant issued by Magisterial District Judge C. Daniel Higgins after an investigation that involved purchasing heroin from Snyder at the Stroud Mall.

Snyder, currently on State Parole for unrelated charges, had been selling heroin to a number of people in Monroe County. Members of the Drug Task Force conducted an undercover purchase of heroin while Snyder was at the Stroud Mall shopping with her mother.

Snyder was found walking around the area of the Martz Bus Station in Delaware Water Gap on Friday, April 15, where police believed she was looking to "re-up" her heroin supply. Drug Task Force members and her parole officer approached her and took her into custody. She was placed in Monroe County Correctional Facility where she was arraigned by MDJ Kristina Anzini and bail was set at $25,000 secured.

Snyder will appear before MDJ Higgins for a preliminary hearing on April 29, 2016 at 11:00 A.M.
