Stories on The West End Food Pantry and Blue Ridge hook and Ladder
Be sure to watch WNEP tonight (not sure what time we will be watching from 4 pm on) for Carmella Mataloni's story on The West End Food Pantry taking over the former Blue Ridge Hook and Ladder food stand at the West End Fair after Blue Ridge Hook and Ladder made the decision to pull out of the fair this year. Part of the story will have a good side for Blue Ridge Hook and Ladder.
Although I spent 10 years behind the camera and do not like the other side of it, I will be interviewed by Carmella.
Channel 13 was down at the food stand yesterday, they do have me and one of my tractors on camera talking to the reporter, I didn't want to be interviewed. You can see that by Clicking Here.
The Times News also did a great story on the West End Food Pantry's Food Stand the other day, I contributed the photo they used. You can read it by Clicking Here.
We also did two stories on the food stand if you missed them you can see the story about the cleanup of the food stand by Clicking Here, and the story of the painters that donated their time to paint the food stand by Clicking Here.
We also published a story on Blue Ridge Hook and Ladder regarding them making the decision to leave the West End Fire, you can read it by Clicking Here.
We have been down at the West End Food Pantry Food Stand doing various things to get it ready for the West End fair that starts on August 19th through the 25th almost everyday this past week and we hope everyone has a chance to stop by. All profits will go towards the purchase of food for the almost 300 families that the West End Food Pantry distributes to twice a month and hopefully, the food stand will turn out to be the biggest fundraiser of the year for the West End Food Pantry.
