Working Dwelling Fire 120 Lizzie Ln Effort
CHESTNUTHILL TOWNSHIP: 01:58 am There is a report that the dwelling at 120 Lizzie Ln (off Gilbert Rd) in Effort is on fire, the caller believes it started in the garage and spread to the house. From what we have been told it was a family of 5, 2 Adults and 3 Small Children the oldest is 5 or 6 living in the house.
UPDATE: EMS is on scene reporting flames through the roof
UPDATE: 02:13 am Fire OIC requested Blue Ridge Hook and Ladder for a Tanker. He also reported it is a 2 story wood frame dwelling garage is fully involved and has spread to the bravo side of the house.
UPDATE: 02:27 am Fire OIC is requesting Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Co, Tanker first.
UPDATE: 02:30 am A Station 43 unit reports that the Tanker fill site has been established.
UPDATE: 02:49 am 35-7 is requesting PPL for an emergency disconnect.
UPDATE: 03:00 am 43-93 is requesting the Salvation Army Canteen to respond if it is available.
UPDATE: 03:12 am Fire OIC reported to the interior crew in the attic that the roof on the bravo side is sagging in the center.
UPDATE: 03:21 Fire OIC is assessing the dwelling to see if they need an excavator or if they can handle it with manpower.
UPDATE: 03:33 am We heard from a family member that everyone was able to get out of the house safely.
UPDATE: 03:37 am After confirmation that it was ok to do, fire units are setting up and turning on the fan to draw the smoke out of the house.
UPDATE: 03:39 am 43-81 informed MCCC that he made contact with the Chestnuthill Roadmaster to get an excavator out to the scene.
UPDATE: 03:41 am 43-81 requested that MCCC have the EMS crew on scene to come up to the house.
UPDATE: 4:09 am PPL is on scene.
UPDATE: 04:19 am The Backhoe from Chestnuthill Township is on scene.
UPDATE: 04:39 am There is a mini and a full sized excavator from Chestnuthill Township on scene.
UPDATE: 05:05 am Station 27 Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Co. is clear and available from the fire.
